Tab Trade - What It Is
Tab Trade went live in Q1 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
His background tells you something. It says the leadership has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.
Market coverage: FX, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform that is a few months old, that range is solid.
Platforms
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the default. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the alternative. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Many people prefer it after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for bots but requires the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently coming. That will make the platform set when it lands.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Easy to track. $0 to start. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not relevant to typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The execution is the area where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote a much wider range.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If that is a dealbreaker, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Scam brokers do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of your assessment.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, they credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before you commit.
